How to complete att wifi registration? ›

Open your Internet browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.). The online registration process will start automatically. If it doesn't, enter att.net/uverse into your address bar. Enter your Account Number (if requested) and Passcode.

Select the Signin Info link and select Change security questions under Online security questions tab. Enter your new information, and select Submit.

Press and hold the gateway Reset button for at least 10 seconds. If you let go before 10 seconds, the gateway will reboot, but it won't reset. Wait until the gateway restarts and all the status lights are lit.

Confirm that the Power, Broadband, and Service lights on your gateway are green. If your lights aren't green, your gateway may have signal issues or other problems. To reboot your modem or gateway: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait 2 minutes and then plug it back in.

If you do not remember your AT&T online account management User ID, try our Forgot User ID/Password? link found on the Sign In page. Select the User ID option, enter your main telephone number, select the Continue button, and then follow the instructions to retrieve your User ID.

Go to Profile > Sign-in info. In the Wireless passcode section, select Forgot your passcode? or Change passcode. Follow the prompts to enter and submit your new security passcode information.

A factory reset erases all settings on your gateway and takes it back to it's original state. To reset on the gateway, use a SIM tool to press and hold the Reset button on the bottom of the gateway.

Is it good to hard reset your router? ›

Rebooting your router clears away unused files to free up some memory, which can make your internet stream and download much quicker. If you use your router for Wi-Fi, your Wi-Fi connection can become slower over time if other devices use the same channels.

Wait for the gateway or modem to restart and your Broadband light to turn solid green. This can take up to 10 minutes.
